Peace and blessings be on all the prophets of God.
" ... Allah named you Muslims earlier and even in this (Book - The Quran)..." (The Quran, 22:78)
The core of the message of Every Prophet of God was the same:
“There is no one to be worshiped and obeyed except The One and Only One God.” Allah, in Arabic, is the name of God. All the most beautiful names belong to Him.
Every Prophet sent by God were to be followed by his people, and God also told His Prophets that if He sent another Prophet, they were obligated to follow the new Prophet:
And [recall, O People of the Scripture], when Allah took the covenant of the prophets, [saying], "Whatever I give you of the Scripture and wisdom and then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you, you [must] believe in him and support him." [Allah] said, "Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My commitment?" They said, "We have acknowledged it." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses." (The Quran, 3:81)
Some Important Points about Islam:
- It is an unforgivable sin to believe that there are gods other than Allah. That was taught by all the prophets of God.
- It is not enough to believe that God exists. He must be worshiped and obeyed.
- Worship and obedience of God must be according to the pure and unaltered teachings of the Prophets of God.
- Muhammad (peace be on him) is the last Prophet of God sent for all mankind. All must follow him now to be on the one and only True Religion of God for mankind. Muhammad’s Message is timeless, universal and is for all of humanity. The Holy Quran is the last Book sent by God and is the only Book of God which now exists in its original revealed form and text in Arabic. It testifies what was sent to earlier Prophets and makes the belief and obedience clear. The Quran and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him), known as The Sunnah are the two primary sources of knowledge in Islam.
