Narrated Safwan bin Muhriz:
A man asked Ibn `Umar, "What did you hear Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying regarding An-Najwa (secret talk between Allah and His believing worshipper on the Day of Judgment)?" He said, "(The Prophet (ﷺ) said), "One of you will come close to his Lord till He will shelter him in His screen and say: Did you commit such-and-such sin? He will say, 'Yes.' Then Allah will say: Did you commit such and such sin? He will say, 'Yes.' So Allah will make him confess (all his sins) and He will say, 'I screened them (your sins) for you in the world, and today I forgive them for you."'  https://sunnah.com/bukhari:6070

Narrated Abu Huraira:
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying. "All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirin (those who commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people). An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allah screens it from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allah's screen from himself."  https://sunnah.com/bukhari:6069

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah preserve him) said: there is a third kind of immoral, rebellious, promiscuous person, who speaks in a boastful manner about zinaa (fornication, adultery) – we seek refuge with Allaah – and tells people that he travelled to such and such a country and committed immoral acts of zinaa with a number of women, and so on, and he shows off about that. Such people should be asked to repent, and if they do not they should be executed, because when a person boasts about zinaa, this implies that he thinks it is permissible – Allaah forbid – and the one who thinks that zinaa is halaal is a kaafir, kaafir.
(Sharh Riyaad al-Saaliheen, 1/116).

Homosexuals are Apostates

Following is taken from:

https://www.ilmgate.org/what-is-the-status-of-one-who-considers-homosexuality-to-be-permissible/

"Therefore, the prohibition of homosexuality is an absolute injunction established from evidence that is unquestionably established قطعى الثبوت (qat‘i al-thubut) and unquestionable in its purport قطعى الدلالة (qat‘i aldilalah). It is also from amongst the essentials of deen as the Muslim masses in general are aware of the prohibition of this abhorrent practice. One who considers the practice of homosexuality to be permissible denies an absolute injunction that is also from the ‘dharooriyyaat al-deen’ (essentials of deen). Consequently, such person immediately renders himself apostate. Ignorance is not considered to be an excuse, and any other divergent interpretation such as the assertion that the prohibition is related to lust and fashion is inadmissible. ‘Sincere love’ cannot legitimise a prohibited practice. For example, even in the morally degenerative, secular, liberal society that we live in today, incest between brother and sister, mother and son or daughter and father are universally considered to be abhorrent. Claims of ‘sincere love’ do not legitimise such relationships. In the same manner, homosexuality cannot be legitimized by claims of sincere love. Whereas man made norms are subject to change, the rules set down by Allah are immutable, eternal and based on a higher wisdom." [By Mufti Muhammad Zubair Butt}
